RB21 Academy

Ready by 21 Academy (RB21)

Educational support and preparatory for independent living

High-school cohort/college peer-mentors

RB21 is currently limited to high-school females, but plans are underway to develop a male cohort.

The goal of RB21 is to provide a circle of support that ensures youth are connected socially, civically, and graduate from high school, as well as equipped to pursue some form of post secondary training/education to succeed in the workplace.

All classes and activities place a special emphasis on soft skills while providing hands-on opportunities for the development of job & life skills, and good work-ethic.  From serving the senior citizen community, to organizing the clothing boutiques for deserving girls, service learning is a key component used to encourage civic responsibility while providing a comprehensive approach to independence. We have witnessed the beauty in youth viewing themselves as contributors versus recipients and thereby building self-confidence while making a difference in their community.

Unique to RB21 is the opportunity to gain hospitality and culinary industry training in a commercial kitchen and event space.

Our commercial kitchen allows for food handling and cooking classes.

Be our guest at our Inspiring Soirees, Tea and Dinner events and shop our boutique.

Ask how your group can impact our program by attending an event for up to
40 of your closest friends.

THE BOUTIQUES

We currently have two boutiques where girls shop free of charge for brand new clothing, formal gowns, and accessories. The boutiques consist of a brick-and-mortar (Citrus Heights location), and a large 40' mobile boutique we call The Express. Program participants learn styling basics, clothing maintenance and host shopping events for similarly deserving girls.
